Darjeeling is the tea capital of India and is famous for the “Darjeeling Tea”, a specialty tea produced in Darjeeling, which is a patented product based on the geographical location it is produced.

Thrissur Pooram, The most spectacular festival event on the Planet as Adjudged by UNESCO

Thrissur alias Trichur(old name), a corporation in Kerala, one and a half hour drive from Cochin, has UNESCO adjudged Thrissur Pooram the most spectacular festival event on the planet to its credit celebrated for 36 hours during Mid April to Mid May. Thrissur Pooram is conducted at the “Thekkinkadu Maidanam”, hosted by Vadakkumnathan temple.
Little Poorams ( Pooram means festival in local Malayalam language ) arranged by near by 8 temples, marks the start of the Pooram. Pooram is for 36 hours with “Panchavadyam” (instrumental music using five percussion and wind instruments), “Kudamattam (exchange of umbrellas on top of elephants), fireworks, exhibition,etc. marks the different activities.
Kerala is a south-western state of India, with Thiruvananthapuram as its capital. Cochin Airport is the nearest airport. Thrissur is the nearest railway station.

Bandipur National Park in Karnataka is a tiger reserve.
This park is around 875 square kilometers and is home to many endangered species. Elephant safari is most sought after here. It gives the visitor a rare view of the wild animals and birds. Forget your work, business etc and relax as you see the beast of jungle in real life.
This area is en route to the Queen of Indian Hill stations, Ooty, from Mysore.
Visit Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the western part of India

Western Ghats runs along the Deccan Plateau. These Ghats starts at the border of Gujrat and Maharastra and runs through the states of Goa, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala, other than those two states in which it is originated. ie Gujarat and Maharastra.
Westerns ghats are the heaven of bio-diversity. At least 375 globally threatened species are found, (not found, to be precise), in this region.
Sahyadhris, Nilgiris, Anamalai hills etc are some of the main hill ranges which form part of Western ghats. There are many hill stations along the Western Ghats.

Kerala, the the south Indian State, Gods Own Country is a major tourism hub. Thsre are a lot of Beaches, lakes, backwaters, rivers, hill stations, water falls, forts etc which makes it a tourist’s paradise.
Kovalam beach near Thiruvananthapuram is a beautiful beach. Allapuzha alaias Allepy is a backwater tourism area.
Munnar is one of the major hill stations in India, which is not commercially exploited much.
Athirapally and Vazhachal are two major waterfalls which are beauty of the nature.
